window.opener.enableButtons() javascript function not working in linux enviorment

Hi all,

When i try to close the popupwindow i am trying to enabling all the buttons in the parent window by using the function window.opener.enableButtons(), this is working fine in the windows environment but not in the linux. any idea why this function is failing in the linux.

it is not dependent on windows or linux but the browser you are using.

Also window.opener will return the parent window object,  i could not find any reference to the method enableButtons in window object.

We finally found the solution .

It is because in the linux server because of the restricted  permissions i was not able to access the window.opener object.
