I'm looking at a BESX installation that hasn't worked. It's on a Windows 2K8 server, Lotus Domino 8.5.2 Server and BESX 5.0.2.
I've tried to uninstall it, but when installing it again it seems to only ask half the questions. The guy that originally installed it said that he "might" have selected "POP" rather than "notes" in one of the options! I can't seem to come across that option on the reinstall.
Before I uninstalled it, we could login using the Web Admin login, but not see any users to add to the BESX. Search didn't return any. I uninstalled and reinstalled and now the Web Admin is giving me "Error 118 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT): The operation timed out."
I can see all the blackberry services and the Domino service are started, but no go!
Bit lost. What do I try to get this working and some users registered?
Thanks
BAS-AS.exe *32 was around 96,000k for a bit and now as I'm watching it, it's steadily climbing to... oh, it's gone! Disappeared. It got to about 350,000k. Humm, I was restarting the Domino server at the time, so maybe it was low while the Domino server was restarting and then started to climb as the Domino server was coming up.
Hang on! It's back. Started at 94,000k and is climbing again, will see how far it gets. Using about 25 CPU. 180,000k, 240,000k, 300,000k and it's gone again! This is quite amusing ;-) Okay, so I've had the task manager processes ordered by name the whole time, so it's the first in the list and should stay there.
And it's back again. It's running under the UserName Administrator rather than System, should I change it to run under system somehow? How do I do that?

The person that first installed it created a new user, gave that user admin rights and installed it using that. I logged on as administrator (same as when installing Domino) and uninstalled it, rebooted and installed it. So all under administrator.
SQL is started and running. When I do the Test in the Blackberry server configurator thing, it says it's fine.
The Fully Qualified domain name is stated and correct in the Domino Server document and the same as what BESX should be looking for.
DIIOP... humm. There is no mention of DIIOP in the notes.ini although there are the following lines.
RIMDataPath=BES
RIMForceSaveInSent=0
RIMSRPPortDispatcher=5096
This is the server doc DIIOP entry.
I don't see anything DIIOP related when I do a show tasks on the server console. How do I rectify this, it seems like it could be a problem.
