Hi,

 I have the code below

and where this has been working regularly and no (known) changes have been made. Certainly no code changes. Environment changes possibly. Pretty sure no database changes.

For no apparent reason we are getting

Error Number  : 28
Error Message : Application-defined or object-defined
                error
Error Module  : DAL.DataService
Error Routine : OpenCursorlessResultset

Trace         : DAL.Address.Load

Not sure what the SQL string is that is being passed.

Any idea what may suddenly have caused this or how I go about investigating?

TIA

Public Function OpenCursorlessResultset(ByVal sSQL As String) As rdoResultset

On Error GoTo Error_Trap:

Set OpenCursorlessResultset = m_rdoC.OpenResultset(sSQL, rdOpenForwardOnly, rdConcurReadOnly, rdExecDirect)
' Wait till the query has finished
    While OpenCursorlessResultset.StillExecuting
        DoEvents
    Wend
    Exit Function

Error_Trap:
    Call GL_HandleError(Err.Number, Err.Description, MODULE_NAME, "OpenCursorlessResultset")

End Function

Is this happening on a machine where it was already running or did you install it on another machine ?

Same machine. Though we suspected Windows updates so tried it on another machine that had not had any updates in the period since it last worked and it did the same thing.
