Error seems self-explanatory.

Where am I going to point you?  The docs:
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e17766/e900.htm#sthref611

ORA-01183: cannot mount database in SHARED mode
Cause: Some other instance has the database mounted exclusive.

Action: Shutdown other instance then mount shared.

I think, filesystems should be mounted as NFS on both nodes, for RAC database.

balasundaram_s,

What error above makes you think this is an NFS mounting problem?
