I need gateway to allow my Cisco CUCM SIP users to come in through my Internet pipe
I need a secure way to allow my SIP clients to connect to my CUCM and have call quality. What options do I have. I want to use my existing Internet pipe (T-3). I'd rather not just open up ports on my firewall directly to the CUCM server.
Are there good 3rd party hardware devices that are reasonable that can handle that job? I'm looking at about 50 - 100 external sip users.
We already use the sip with VPN but that is cumbersome and using the Cisco mobile 8 is only good using the VPN. When the tunnel drops your dead in the water and people miss calls.
I want my I-pad and iphone users plus all IP Communicators on laptops to be able to have there phones running whether the VPN is up or not.
