I've found a virus on my network that my Antivirus program isn't aware of. The virus is a file called 'system.exe'. I can add it's signature to my antivirus definitions but I don't know how to obtain the signature.

Any ideas,

Thanks
John

Normally you would submit the file to your av provider , and they would provide the signature file.

My AV product will allow me to manually add file signatures of viruses. Ideally I'd have been able to obtain the signature and add it to the AV product in order to speed up the process of protecting my clients. In the end I reported it to my provider who did this for me.

Thanks
