Is it possible to have a retention tag that can only be applied to the Archive mailbox and not be available in the primary mailbox?
We wish to have a "never delete" option for the archive but don't want it to be used on the primary mailbox.

Sorry no Read-Only archive possible, Sp1 doesen't offer this feature either. Only thing you can do is to config a longer retention time for deleted items or you must buy a real archiving 3rd party solution.
