I don't know if it works for you, but i had some apps wich I could not install in Windows 7. During the installation of this older software I ran into problems and I could not install it. But I installed it on an XP box and I just copied the folder in de %programfiles% dir and I copied it to the Windows 7 machine and it worked!! For some apps I had to set some compatibility options and for some I had to set the &quot;Run as Administrator&quot; option.<br />
An other option is to use <a href="http://www.sandboxie.com/" rel="ugc">sandboxie</a> . I have never used it, but I know some people who are using it and are satisfied.<br />

I have some older apps that will not run on Windows 7. VmWare's ThinApp product works for some of them but not all. Can anyone reccomend a better product, preferably something with a trial download?
