how to install mysql workbench on ubuntu

Hi

Please can you advise how I install mysql workbench on ubuntu 10. I have tried sudo apt-get install mysql-workbench and i get a 'package not found ' error. I have found this link but it is 2 years old

Please bear in mind when answering that I'm a linux beginner and not that confident with installing software. I am also connecting remotely to my machine via cygwin/x so I don't have all the nice menu options available from GNOME

It doesn't seem to be included in the standard package repositories so apt-get won't work. Try this instruction:

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/MySqlWorkBench
