Associating New Cisco AP to New Cisco WLC

We have a new wireless controller, and I am wondering what is involved in associating this new wlc with a new access-point.

Does the access point automatically detect the WLC or visa versa?

How do I go about pushing an initial config to the access point?

Honestly, you need to get down and dirty and get acquainted with the manual; involving a WLC and LWAP is a bit more complex in a autonomous system.

Is the AP a LWAP or an autonomous AP?
