Rules to follow when emailing

I am looking for a industry standard website of rules that need to be followed, so when sending out mass emails one is not marked as "Spammers"

In my opinion, your best bet is to go with some "Email Service Provider".

These days, if you try to do it on your own, you are almost always likely to get marked as SPAM.

I agree with sshah254 about using a provider. We used to send out ourselves and many times got blacklisted which was a headache. Since we switched to using vertical response things have been very smooth, well worth the cost in my opinion.
