What is best practice for moving the pagefile off of the system drive in Windows Server 2008 R2 server core? Servers have 64GB's of RAM and need to move page file off of system drive to 146 GB drives.

There are many ways to do this

1) Advanced System Settings, on the Advanced tab click the Performance/Settings button.
Advanced System Settings can be reached by right clicking My Computer and choosing Properties or from Server Manager by clicking the Change System properties link.

2) Open command prompt and use the following commands

wmic computersystem where name=”MyCoreServer” set AutomaticManagedPagefile=False
wmic pagefileset where name=”d:\\pagefile.sys” set InitialSize=2500,MaximumSize=10240
The second command creates a new pagefile.sys on d: drive with an initial size of 2,5 GB and a maximumsize of 10,24 GB

Afterwards – reboot.

Have a look at this site for moving page file from one drive to another for windows 2008 server.
