here is situation
i have usb removable drives and once a while xp system does not auto assign drive letter to removable drives after plugging in

so i need a little program that can auto detect where there is  usb removable drives exist and have drive letters assigned already, if there are removable drives and no drive letters are assigned, then assign the next available drive letter to it.

i hope this can be done by c#
however, i have been looking around, but no luck on my own programming.

can someone provide a complete code?

hi
It's not c_sharp, but it surely assigned drive letters directly.
It's freeware.

Here's another one;

Yes, this can be done in c_sharp, but needs time to develop the code.

What does it mean to be "Always On"?

Is your cloud always on? With an Always On cloud you won't have to worry about downtime for maintenance or software application code updates, ensuring that your bottom line isn't affected.

This one is better;
http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Miscellaneous/USBDLM.shtml
Documentation; How to;
http://www.ghacks.net/2007/11/04/permanently-assign-drive-letters-to-usb-devices/

It can be develop also in c_sharp, but like I said, it needs time.  The source code of this is poorly distributed.

i believe assign drive letter to physical drive is different from mapping a network drive from programming aspect.

WinXP just does not consider a logical/Network drive as a physical drive letter mapping
