Free Busy not working on Exchange 2003
I have 1 Exchange server Exch01 (Exchange 2003 ENT SP2). Free Busy has been working well all the while.
Recently I have added 2 more Exchange servers, Exch02 and Exch03 (Exchange 2003 ENT SP2).
Both new servers has this error message:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: MSExchangeFBPublish
Event Category: General
Event ID: 8207
Date: 3/11/2011
Time: 6:51:42 PM
User: N/A
Computer: Exch02
Description:
Error updating public folder with free-busy information on virtual machine Exch02. The error number is 0x80004005.
For more information, click http://www.microsoft.com/contentredirect.asp.
So I have followed the steps in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/822444/ to no avail.
Now Free Busy is not working on Exch01 too, mailboxes in Exch01 cannot see any free busy information anymore.
When I goto Exch02 or Exch03 ESM to check on the Free busy folders, there is this error message:
The mail proxy for this folder cannot be found. This may be due to replication delays. The mail enabled pages will not be shown. ID no: c1038a21
I'm thinking of trying Method 2 from this arthicle http://support.microsoft.com/kb/328740, but I'm afraid that it might do more harm.
Can someone help. .
thanks

I found that from the Exchange System Manager, the Exchange Domain Servers were denied Receive As Permission at the Exchange server level. I am unable to change this permission as it is inherited from the parent object. When I moved up its parent containers, I could not see any deny Receive As permission imposed on the Exchange Domain Servers group.
Should I change that permission from Deny to Allow?
How can I remove the deny Receive As permission for the Exchange Domain Servers at the server level?

I have fixed the problem on exch01 and 02 by edit the permissions on almost everything, there were many missing permission, I couldn't fix exch03 that way, so I have reinstalled exch03 ... everything is working now, no more errors in event viewer.

btw, most of the solutions here are for Exchange 2007/2010 ... I need solutions for Exchange 2003 actually..
Thanks.
