We're beginning to test membership approval for distribution groups and I've run into an issue. &nbsp;I've created a new distribution group (Test Distribution Group). &nbsp;I've added myself and made myself the group manager. &nbsp;In the Membership Approval properties of the group I've selected &quot;owner approval&quot; for joining and &quot;closed&quot; for leaving the group. &nbsp;<br />

I selected a test user account and requested to join the group through OWA. &nbsp;My account receives the initial request; which I approve. &nbsp;A few seconds later I receive an Exchange generated message stating the following:<br />

Subject:<br />
The request to join the distribution group Test Distribution Group was not approved or rejected.<br />
<br />
Body:<br />
An error occurred while the request to join distribution group Test Distribution Group was being approved or rejected.<br />
<br />
The command failed when running as user '&lt;my user account&gt;'. Please contact your administrator to assign the appropriate role(s) to your account in order to gain access..<br />
<br />
What am I missing? &nbsp;<br />

I've added myself and made myself the group manager.  In the Membership Approval properties of the group I've selected "owner approval" for joining and "closed" for leaving the group.  

I selected a test user account and requested to join the group through OWA.  My account receives the initial request; which I approve.  A few seconds later I receive an Exchange generated message stating the following:
