Bundling instance on Amazon's AWS

I don't know why I cannot bundle an instance. It just does not work no matter how I do it. I was trying to do it through terminal. I have downloaded private key, certificate and uploaded it. But following command
root@ip-10-56-59-94:/mnt/bundle# ec2-bundle-vol -p somenameforami.ami -k pk-KKUT6ZMH.pem  -c cert-V3R4C2H.pem  -u 2157

try running it from a different dir, not from /mnt
place all of the EC2 commands in a different dir out of /mnt
