I need to create a usb linux bootable

hi guys

I have a dell inspiron netbook, which stop working, it does not boot up, only shows me a black screen with the cursor blinking on the left top corner.
so i want to create a bootble linux usb, so i can explore the computer and see if i can notice any error.

Please explain
how can i create a bootable linux pendrive.

Ubuntu is your best option in my opinion:
