WIFI Problem

I have a Edimax Broadband Router BR-6424n. All of a sudden the signal strength is shifting all the time from 10% to 100% and 60% to 38% etc.

I bought the router about 4 months ago. What is wrong?

Well ere a  few steps that may get you started......
1. Get a wifi analyzer....android, iphone and some other wireless phones can download one for free...you're going to want to find the channels that are being used by the other wifi's in the the area.  Once you have that info then you are going to want to set your router (by logging into its web interface) to the most unused channel (1, 6, and 11 are the  channels looking for).  Usually 1 is the best.  It sounds like your router is set to auto and switching between multiple channels.

2. Make sure the router is centrally located and up high.  Make sre the antenna are vertical to the ground.

3. If you are on a laptop then you may want to chek you power settings and in the advanced settings you will be lookingto make sure the wireless adapter is set to Maximum Performance.

These are all the most common issues so let me know if they don't work

The problem seems to be on my DELL Inspiron Duo picking up the signal when it is in Tablet mode.
