Cisco 7960 sound bleeding through speaker

Greetings,

I have a UC500 using Cisco 7960 phones.  When someone is on the Headset, they can also hear the caller through the speaker (not too loud, but it can be heard).

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Cisco voice is my day job, and with literally thousands of handsets deployed, I've never heard of anyone with this particular issue. Is it just one phone, or multiple phones? Are the phones connected via POE connection or power brick? If more than one, are they the same type and same phone load? If multiple phones, it is all of them or do some work fine?
I would hesitate to jump to the conclusion that it is a hardware issue, but that's what it sounds like. Were the phones purchased new, or used? The 7960 has been around longer than the UC500. If more than one set has this issue, it would be unlikely that more than one would have the same issue, unless they are from the same batch. Check their serial numbers and mac addresses and see if they are really close in sequence.
