I cannot clear my security center warnings.  I used WBEMTEST to see what was installed in the Security Center and am receiving an error.  WMI : 0x80041002 : not found.  I have a clean copy of AVG Internet Security installed and the Security Center shows no AV or Firewall???

I'm not completely familiar with AVG, but you'll want to make sure the product registers with Windows Security Center. If it doesn't then that is why WSC shows no AV or Firewall installed.

You can also try this script to query the SecurityCenter namespace: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/alejacma/archive/2008/05/12/how-to-get-antivirus-information-with-wmi-vbscript.aspx

It's also possible that your WMI repository is corrupted. Here are a couple links to address that:

The corupted WMI repository was the issue.  I just followed the instructions [repairwmi] and now the security center is corrected.
