How to turn this round-corner text box code into a component I can pull out of the component library

I posted a question a while back asking for help in turning some code from stackoverflow into a component.

Deepanjan an expert, re-wrote the code and improved it, has been absolutely amazing in fact; however, I am still floundering with my original problem.

In short I need a component or MC that can be dragged from the library that has rounded corners and will display text locked to the top left, and to be sizable without scaling the text.

I have achieved some success with 9 point scaling on a box, but I couldn't work out how to adjust the text. If embedded it would scale with the box, if not embedded it would not move with or link to the box.

I have posted the demo flash file below, any thoughts / help would be greatly appreciated.

Please note, the flashx line needs commenting out of line 10 of CustomTextField.as demo.zip

Hello Ady,
I have just added a sample for creating the rounded TextField in flash whereby you can use the inspectable properties from the property inspector.
You can add the properties now seeing the sample.

Hi Deepanjan,

Once again... Thank you!

I will read the tutorials you sent through and see if I can switch on live preview on those components!

Thank you again :)

Kind regards,

A thousand apologies for not closing the question and awarding points earlier, very rude of me. Thank you once again for all that you did on this. I got live preview to work in a fashion, not really how I wanted but again it highlighted that I was not perhaps ready to get this deep into the code.

Thank you again, really appreciated your help; I hope you do consider finalizing it and selling it as a component, I think it would do you well.

Kind regards,
