  Hello I have 2 questions:

1.-Anyone know a name fo a software or how to put a time expiration or password of SWF files but leaving like it is SWF or FLV extension?. I mean I saw many programs that make that bue that programs converts the SWF to exe or create an special extension to run with a special player i don´t want that the same for FLV files some make strange things and special player needed. Now the protection must run like normal SWF to run on web or Linux. I really need after the protection the SWF keeps like SWF without special player.
2.-A method to encrypt external hard disks with a password on Linux but I need this. That hard disk I´ll give to users and that usesr when connect the HD on their Linux machine an access password request appears without the need to install something for the user, only request the password and open when the password is giving correct. In the worst case in case of install something be the best easy way with a simply click for a novice user.
Thank you

Hi
I suggest you please distribute the questions into two separate threads as they are no way related to each other. However I will answer your first question for question 2 you may start one more thread..
Yes you can set a expiry date of a swf file. Simply have some thing like the following on frame 1, setting expiry for May 6th 2011.

var epiryDt = new Date(2011, 5, 6);
var today = new Date();

var todayMS = today.getDate();
var expiryMS = expiryDt.getDate();

if (todayMS > expiryMS) { gotoAndPlay(3) } else { gotoAndStop(2) }

Cheers..

For your external hard disk I would suggest using TrueCrypt. You would create one large "container" file on the external hard drive. This file is actually an encrypted hard drive image that can be mounted under /mnt/ (for example).

To back it up, you would unmount the TrueCrypt volume and then simply back up the container file.

Please visit http://www.truecrypt.org/ on documentation and download..

Yes you need to install TrueCrypt on every machine wherever you intend to use the encrypted hard disk.
