everytime i open page alyout in excel 2007 excel crashes

when i open page layout in my excel on any spreadsheet, excel shutdowns.  in event viewer, there's an error for microsoft office 12

It sounds like you have corruption in your Excel install, since it is occurring across all excel workbooks.
I'd recommend first trying a repair on Excel.  If that doesn't solve the issue, uninstall then reinstall.

i did the repair and nothing, i was hoping not to do the later.

Unfortunately, there's probably no way around it.  Hopefully you have the install disks??

The only other thing I can think of to try is to upgrade the SP for office 2007, if you are not on the latest one.  If you haven't already done the uninstall/reinstall, you could give this a try.
