Hi,

I'm developing a List Workflow using SPD 2010. During development, I'd like to be able to create versions of the workflow e.g. Lets say I've created MyWorkflow - Version 1.0.0. Well if I want to make changes to the workflow, I'd like to create a copy called MyWorkflow - Version 1.0.1 and modify that, thereby leaving the original intact.

However, I don't see any way to achieve this. This seems strange I would consider it an obvious requirement...

Have I missed something? Is SPD 2010 capable of creating backup versions of a workflow?

Thanks in advance,
Ben

Hi Ben,

A Workflow created in Visual Studio does have versions (the dll has a version).

In SharePoint Designer you can create reusable workflows ( if you save a workflow as a template; rename the .wsp to .cab you will see all the xml). In the xml you will see version numbers, however I don't think that there is any option to control the version numbers in SPD.
