According to Microsoft:
WGA Notifications is an anti-piracy tool that performs the WGA validation check and notifies you if you are not running genuine Windows.

So are you running a valid copy of windows? Did you activate it with a valid CD key?

Yes, I am assuming that it is.  I work for a large corporation within it's I.T. department.  All of our computers have a company standard Windows XP build on them.  I have a client who keeps getting the WGA notification; I have not looked at his PC yet but wanted to find out if this notification is related to MS Office or the Windows OS.  Thank you.

They can check if it's been validated, under Computer -> Properties is a Windows Activation notification. WGA is an OS thing ( runs as an activex ).
