Exchange 2010 Public Folder

I am getting an error when try to open Exchange 2010 Public Folder.  

"The set of folders cannot be opened.  The attempt to log on to Microsoft Exchange has failed."

Any help would be great.

reviewed the article but does not apply to us. We are having an issue with public folders which are not getting displayed even though they are mounted as a  database. All other outlook feature are available and functional. This is not a outlook client connectivity issue
