Have they exceeded their total mailbox size limit?

have you tried to clear the Junk Email folder’s offline items by right clicking on the Junk Email folder, selecting Properties and clicking “Clear Offline Items” on the General tab?

Also, have you tried turning Off the Junk e-mail filter in OWA and turning it back on? adding a sender then removing it?

Does outlook and OWA work fine if you turn off the junk mail filtering for the user?
ASKER
ok, can you please explain how to turn it off? Becasue all I do does not work.
I'm not on exchange 2003, but 2007, so details may be different.
in OWA, go to the options menu, should then be a Junk E-mail section. and select Do Not filter junk e-mail.
or in Outlook 2007: Tools/Options/Preferences/ Junk E-mail No Automatic Filtering.

Do you have the problem with a newly created user as well?
What is the size of OST files for the users?
What is the size of OST files for the users?
ASKER
Sorry, but how is that relevant? THis particlar user is 3 GB. I do not hve this kind of problem in others Customer install with 10 tmes bigger mailboxes.
It can be relevant for the outlook crashes depending on the HD formatting and the corresponding file size limits.
ASKER
Well, was able to instruct the User to go OUTLOOK SAFE MODE and no crahses. So it must be related to crappy add-ins.
owever, the fous of the post, JUNK, keeps failing regardless.

Try increasing the rule limit beyond 1024 and see if that let things go again, if so, then something is filling it but not showing it to you.
Can you turn off the server side IMF and 3rd party add-on to see if those are causing the issues with OWA? it is possible that something on the service side is trying to push to the user mailbox setting and that is where the full junk message is coming from.

There is Symantc Corporrate Antivirus bit nothing for SPAM. As I sad before, the incoming mail omes from ExcahngDefender as the main spam filter solution.
Does a newly created user/mailbox experience the same issues?
ASKER
