Tracking amount of forwarded emails

Currently have SBS 2003. Have customer that where we forwarded emails from user's old email account to new one.  We want to diable old account, but before we do that is there a method of determining how many emails are coming directly to new account vs how many are being forwarded from old account still?

Empty the old users mailbox and stop forwarding incoming mail?  You will quickly see the new incoming in the old users mail box.  You can then forward them manually, or export from the old and import to the new.

Or allow them to accumulate in both mailboxes?

I hear what you're saying, but is there a way to track the email as it's coming in (while the forward is in place) that I don;t know about?

In the Message Tracking Center you can set the mailbox and a range of dates to get such a list.  it is a minor pain, however, depending on how often you want/need to do it.
