Excel 2010 - Date time to integer

I have multiple rows with a field, Date which has value like these:

3/1/2011 21:53
3/1/2011 22:39
3/1/2011 22:46

Based on certain criteria, i need to find the difference between two dates.

Assuming, I am finding the difference between 3/1/2011 21:53 & 3/1/2011 22:39

(3/1/2011 22:39) - (3/1/2011 21:53) gives me 0.03181713 as result in Excel 2010. Technically, the difference is 45 Mins & 49 seconds.

Is there anyway, i can use a formula which will give me a int value? ~45

as in,

(3/1/2011 22:39) - (3/1/2011 21:53) should give me 45 as result

Kindly help

Since you're converting days into minutes, you'd get:

or I guess:

=(A2-A1) * 24 * 60
This should solve your purpose : =MINUTE(A2 - A1)
