In a Windows2003 SP2 server I need to move the $hf_mig$ folder from C to E drive

Any way to do it?
Is it safe ?

Thank you

not recommended... and it needs to stay within the %WINDOWS% folder.
but see http://www.pagestart.com/hfmigpart1.html  "How to delete unused folders and files located within the $hf_mig$ folder"
"Again as a reminder, you will not be deleting the $hf_mig$ folder, just “some” of the KBxxxxxx sub-folders contained in the $hf_mig$ folder. "     Note the emphasis on UNUSED.

i assume that diskspace is the reason for the move ?
Have you considered an inplace disk upgrade using one of the drive manufacturers tools ?  WD , SeagateTools
