Resetting Password on Canon Imageclass C2500/3500 scanner

I have a Canon Imageclass C2500 scanner Printer Copier which I have had for four years but hardly used. I am trying to set up the network scan feature and realised that there is a password. The tech who originally set up must have put it on and apparently did ot use the general office password. Canon's position is that I need to go back to the dealer who is located in a different country.

Can anyone assist me in resetting  the password.

I was able to reset one once using #28# on the keypad to enter service mode which allows you to perform an "all clear".  Note: any saved network or address book information would be lost during this process.

I am trying this suggestion. Did you use the keypad which selects number of copies etc and if so did you have to do anything before?
Flexible connectivity for any environment

The KE6900 series can extend and deploy computers with high definition displays across multiple stations in a variety of applications that suit any environment. Expand computer use to stations across multiple rooms with dynamic access.

It should be from the main menu.  You can try this as well: try *# scroll to clear, then look for "all clear"

Sorry Operationnos- I did not check the response before. I tried the last suggestion and nothing.

When you say the main menu- are you referring to when I enter settings or just after I turn the scanner on.
