Getting Print Drivers from windows update for windows 7.

I have a few users on a site.
They have a copier/printer that doesnt have a Windows 7 driver on manufacturers website, but is on the compatibility list. Users cannot use the windows update site to get the drivers but I wondered if it would be possible to get the drivers from windows update another way and then copy them to the clients?

Download the XP drives and install them, make sure they are either 32 or 64 depending on what you need.

I assume since they can't download them there is no internet or sharing. If there was you could share the printer that has the driver to the other PC, and they should pull the driver off

Xp driver didnt work.
It;s a sharp MX2300N
I found a drive on the australian website

http://www.sharp.net.au/product-archive/products/MX2300N/

I'll try it tomorrow as it's late here in the UK

The problem I have is that its a networked copier that doesn't work on USB.
So none of themachines on site can use windows update to find the printer.

The PCL6 driver for Windows 7 at the link you supplied above should work. If it does not have an install that identifys the printer, then use the add printer and map to IP Address then point to the downloaded driver. Hope that works for you.
