I have a client that needs a listserv installed and maintained in a Server 2003/Exchange 2007 enviroment. Specifically, they want this;

"An electronic mail-based discussion forum for subscribing members. Individuals send e-mail to the listerv's address, and all members on the distribution list receive the message. An effective, low bandwidth, user-driven medium for content focused on a particular area of interest".

Anyone set one up from scratch, and good guidance out there ?

Thanks

Is this a Linux based app ?  I was wanting to stick with the Server 2003 platform, I already have VMWARE application, this PHPMailer looks like a app in a programming language ?

It looks very complicated to setup and use to me.. Any other ideas ?

Thanks

we decided to outsource this feature, it was too much trouble for our shop to mess with, and no one wanted to do it with Linux.

This idea was outsourced, ISP's do not like email blasting from exchange servers, another minus for this project
