format month

bearing in mind todays date:

CurrentMonth = Format(Month(Now), "mmm")

evaluates to jan I had hoped it would say Mar

Month now() says 3 which is correct

the format says different.

am in vba

too much redundancy, just use

CurrentMonth = Format(Now(), "mmm")
