quicken networked to SBS 2011

I am working with an accounting firm that needs to use Quicken to support some customrs. They have most of their data on Small Business Server 2011. Quicken 2010 s installed locally on the workstations. Quicken does not officially support network access. I've tested Quicken using a mapped drive. It appeas to function and data appears in the file when subsequently opened. When Quicken closes, it reports a 0x7c910a19 error.

Optimally, we'd like to have files stored on the server so they can be backed up. Alternately, I need a backup solution that will permit files to be used locally and then synchronized? with the server. I'm interested in any other solution that permits multiple users to access different files (no shared use of files) simultaneously and provides a backup methodology.

The workstations are XP Pro and Windows 7 Pro. They could all be upgraded if that would help.

I am open to suggestions.
