VBscript engine could not be found

Upon login I have the computer run some .vbs from the DC sysvol share.

However upon login a popup for each script that was supposed to run appears.

"Vbscript engine cannot be found to load script.vbs"

When I navigate to it manually and double click I get the same error, the .vbs icon shows up but windows cannot actually open the file. Is this a registry problem or any ideas?

It sounds like the Script engine DLL isn't registered.
Try the following...

regsvr32 %systemroot%\system32\vbscript.dll

I did the above and then restarted, now it just hangs and after about 2 minutes it gives the usual error.
