for a blackberry curve - is there a way to have it auto complete the previous email addresses that have been entered previously? so, for instance, if i compose an email to person@email.com and send successfully, then the next day if i compose a new email and start typing pers - the blackberry would fill out the rest of the address.

Have you tried a hard restart of the device? By that I mean with the BB turned on remove the back cover and pull the battery.

Which Curve is this specifically? Has this feature ever worked correctly for you? Many BBs will only pull from emails in the address book. They don't generate and maintain a listing of your most popularly sent to addresses.

this has never worked - it just pulls from the address book like you said - i was just hoping there was a way to have it keep a list so you don't have to always type the whole address - or add an entry in the address book.

I believe this is by design. The only place it will look is the Address Book. Do you have the ability to sync your contacts to an already compiled list? That would at least speed up the process for you and fill in the Address Book more quickly
