Our client uses Entourage 2008 on a Mac (10.6) to connect to their GoDaddy IMAP account. About once an hour the attached message pops up. The call out to PPP is funny, but the situation is not.

Details:
The client is set to send/receive every 2 mintes
"Connect only when internet is available" is selected
The wireless network he is on appears to be stable
I have not enabled Entourage's IDLE-type command, since I dont know if GoDaddy supports it

Any help is appreciated. GoDaddy offered not assistance, and I'm out of ideas. I can't keep asking the client to allow remote access, so I need a definitive answer. Thank you so much. Entourage error message

Does he get the same error if he uses the built-in MacMail.app instead?

This suggests the problem is that your internet connection has dropped:

Poor audio quality is one of the top reasons people don’t use video conferencing. Get the crispest, clearest audio powered by Dolby Voice in every meeting. Highfive and Dolby Voice deliver the best video conferencing and audio experience for every meeting and every room.

This error still happens for our client about 3 times a day, at random times. Sometimes it says "Connection to the server failed or was dropped" in addition to the previous error. Any other suggestions, its driving him nuts!

That confirms my suggestion about 3 posts ago that the problem is your client is losing his internet connection. You will want to figure out why? Is he on wireless? Is it a weak connection? Is there interference from other 802.11 devices (like cordless telephones, for instance).

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing, but the timing coincides with when we removed and re-added his email account and I'm not a big believer in coincidences. I will go onsite, troubleshoot his network and follow back up. Thank you!
