JQuery Tablesort zebra stripping

I'm using the JQuery Tablesorter plugin.  The sort, expand/collapse features are working like they should.  However I'm having an issue with Internet Explorer when it comes to using the Zebra striping to set a background colour on all the even rows.

For rows that are longer than one line the background colour won't fill down.  See print screen attached.  Everything works properly in Firefox so I'm not sure how I can fix this issue in Internet Explorer.

It almost looks as if it's something to do with the HTML of the table.

Could you provide an example HTML that you're applying this plugin against?
