Hello Experts,

I am installing Oracle Client locally (Centos 5.3, no desktop on the server); but getting this error:

>>> Could not execute auto check for display colors using command /usr/bin/x/dpyinfo. Check if the DISPLAY variable is set.  Failed <<<<<

any ideas how to fix?

In advance, thanks for your help...

regards,

Check this link..

You had mentioned,
>> no desktop on the server.

How are you accessing the server? The solution might be installing X windows client in your Windows system.
