how to call a code behind button_click in jquery

Hi, I opened a Popup using Jquery dialog it contains all asp.net controls [ submit,textbox]

When i click submit on popup no action is performing.....how can i call that action with jQuery

i am beginner..can u explain in detail...if possible with sample code.......

you can call the button's click method like :

$("#"+buttonid).click();

where buttonid is your button's id

let   protected void btnSubmit_Click( Object Sender,Eventargs e)
      {
        // connection to the database
     }
in jquery if i write $("#btnsubmit").Click()---->how it's going to call that btnSubmit_Click action
can u please explain ?? how it works

this is basically doing the same thing as moving your mouse to the button and performing the button click manually
