No probs, we can do this.....

It depends on how you have the ePO Server set up.....

do you have the Active Directory synchronisation set up ?

If you have multiple Active Directories, you can set up a Synchronisation task to do an LDAP sync and then deploy the Agents automatically.....

You could also deploy the agents by setting up Rogue System Detection.....

Or you can deploy them manually......

In ePO, click on Systems and then find a machine you want to deploy the Agent to, put a tick in the box and then at the bottom of the screen, hit Deploy Agents and walk through the wizard.....make sure you enter Service Account credentials (must be a Domain Admin)

I take it you are not meaning how to deploy VirusScan Enterprise.....but just the Agent ?

Cheers

Hi Simon,

Yes I am talking about creating the Agent, and that file can be stored on a thumbdrive and installed on all PC's. It is exactly as you mentioned above?

How do I create the agent and save it to be deployed to other computers? It can be automatic, or saved onto a thumbdrive.

I'm confused why you asked about Active Directory.

Hi Ben

The beauty of ePO is that you can do everything automatically.....the best way is to deploy it automatically using Active Directory synchronisation as all machines will have the agent deployed automatically, including new machines when they are added to AD

But...

If you want to deploy it manually, then here is how you do it....

# Click Menu | Systems | System Tree, then from the System Tree Actions drop-down menu, click New Systems. The New Systems page appears.
# Next to How to add systems, select Create and download agent installation package.
# Select the appropriate operating system.
# Type the appropriate Credentials for agent installation, then click OK.
# When prompted, select the file to be downloaded. Click to open the file. Right-click to save the file.
# Distribute the custom installation package file as needed.
