Not sure if this is the right please to ask ? but

Ive got an sbs2008 server with exchange 2007 ruuning , due to some problems (dead HD) I rebuild the server from the vol copy backup ,but this is a bit old .

I have some newer exchange log files that Ivd like to read into exchnage and have no Idear how to

the exchange  database  is from an earlyer backup than  the log and the email witch maybe in the log are needed.

I do have an other  server up and running with the same data ,so i have time to try any thing !

A.

Hi,

you wouldn't be able to replace those log files to the database due to signature mismatch, and those logfiles will be out of sequence as well.

However  you may want to read the following article for better understanding of replaying of logfiles to exchange database

Eseutil /R recovery mode
