I have not been able to open any files created on my iPad with Apple Pages in Microsoft Word 2010 and hope someone can suggest a solution. I am emailing the files as attachments and have tried saving/exporting both in Word and Pages format. When I save files as a .doc, I get an error message when I open them in Word that says:

Word experienced an errot trying to open the file. Try these suggestions.
*Check the file permission for the document or drive.
*Make sure there is sufficient free memory and disk space.
*Open the file with the Text Recovery converter. (C:\Users\...\name of file.doc)

When I save them in pages format the message says "The file cannot be opened because there are problems with the contents." Then, under details it says "Microsoft Office cannot open this file because some parts are missing or invalid."

It's weird because I CAN open the files as attachments in my BlackBerry using Documents to Go and they seem fine.

Any suggestions? Is there any kind of plug-in/add-in for MS Word 2010 that would correct the problem?

Have you run all of the update patches for your Office 2010? Also there may be a patch that you have to grab manually off the web. This was the case for Office Mac 2004 reading Office Mac 2008 files.
