Find records with a value in field A OR field B using Filemaker Pro 11

I am trying to create a find that will include all records where either field A OR field B contains a specific value. So far I can only find field A AND field B using the standard find request.

Assuming you are doing a direct find, all you have to do it create a second "Find Request" and enter the value in field B. To create additional Find requests, just go to File -> New Request or type Control-N (Win) or Command-N (Mac). Creating multiple Find requests gives you the "OR" capability you are looking for.

As an additional tip, you can also use multiple Find Requests to find a particular group of records but exclude other records. To do this, create one or more Find requests for what you are looking for. To then exclude some records from the Find results, create additional Find Request, enter the criteria to be excluded and on each of those requests change the "Matching Records:" option in the toolbar from "Include" to "Omit". It's important when using Omit Requests to always put the "Include" Requests first, followed by the "Omit" requests.

I wish it was this easy to find in the Filemaker documentation.
