Outlook GAL missing contacts after some period of time

Hi everyone,

I have a weird one; user is missing multiple contacts from the GAL; when i rebuild the Outlook profile and resync with the server, the GAL is fine; populates all the proper email addresses; after some time, most of the disappear! Any thought?

Are you on Exchange 2007 SP3? If not, then update to SP3 and we'll go from there...

Sounds like you have an out of date OAB so do:
Ensure your OAB has the E2K7 server as the OAB generating server and that the OAB has web distribution enabled then do:
EMS
Get-OfflineAddressBook | update-offlineAddressBook
Wait 15 minutes
Restart msexchangeFDS service on CAS server
Wait 5 minutes
Restart Outlook and see if it can download the OAB

Did you upgrade to SP3 and that fixed the issue?

no, i deleted the OAB and then followed your instructions
