scanning to imac via smb from kyocera 420i copier

I have a scanner/copier machine kyocera 420i. Its scans fin to all pcs in the office running linux or windows.

However not savy with macs and can't get it to work right. Any ideas?

printing work fine. not problems. need it to scan to imac computers in the office.

As far as I know (and we have similar kyocera set up for macs) it cannot be done directly to the macintosh.

We installed the fileutility app (which manages this at the client end) on a windows server and then the clients have to pick up their scans from their folder on this server - accessed via smb.
