Hi, I have an sbs 08 server with exchange 07 sp1

we had an issue this morning where the server got low on c drive space. I freed some up and rebooted the server. Emails started to come in. But we are missing a few that we were expecting.
I ran the exchange trouble shoot and got this error

Mail submission failed: Error message: Server does not support secure connections..

we don't use secure mail.
We have one ssl certificate for web.mydomain.com
We don't have any others for autodiscovery etc.

any ideas

If the server went into Backpressure mode - then the messages may well have been held on the sending server and will be re-tried or they will have been rejected and won't be retried - that is all down to the sending server and the retry period configured on it.

I would have expected the mail to have been re-sent by now, but if it hasn't - then it looks like it they are not going to re-send which means you need to ask them to send the message(s) again.
