Verizon Network extender or Wi-Ex zBoost YX510-PCS-CEL cell phone signal extender

I am using a HTC Incredible by Verizon for my home telephone. I decided I didn't need a landline. I am getting poor signals in my house and I wanted to get an extender. Which one will give me more bang for my bucks, the Verizon Network extender or the Wi-Ex zBoost YX510-PCS-CEL cell phone signal extender?

Neither will work for your data plan (use the WIFI in your house).
The Verizon product can be thought of as a mini cell phone tower that will back haul your calls over the internet using your home broadband connection.  You will still pay for calls per minute.
The other product tries to boost your cell phone signal and relay it to the tower closest to you.  Depending on your individual situation the EzBoost might not even improve the outcome.  If you have broadband at home I would stick with Verizon product.  One vendor to call for problems and no finger pointing.

Not really concerned about my data plan. My problem is poor reception on my cell phone.

I purchased the EzBoost and as you stated it did nothing to improve the signal. I am investing in a new Motoral phone because I hear they are better in poor signal areas. If that dosen't work then I will invest in the broadband connection.
