Are there any dvr's that could accept network input from a point of sale?  I would like to feed my point of sale receipt information to a dvr. I know I can do it with usb, or extra network cable.  I was just wondering if it could be done on my existing network cable.  I would need to set up a device that had a target ip address/port on the the dvr on my point of sale.

I have a dvr on-site that will accept text input from the network via ipaddress/port number.  The pos can only direct the infroamtion to a com port through opos drives.  Set up a line display to output to com 3..  How can i get that to the dvr?
